The series could seem like yet another story with characters working in the forensic science field. However there is a difference, the lawyers are not the usual type of lawyers, the judges and the accused are different too. They are all seen taken up with their everyday lives, which gives a different perspective on their characters making them more real. Sometimes the atmosphere is serious and half-joking at the same time, yet it never becomes surreal. It is a great series, but maybe rather misunderstood. Alice De Ray (Lucia Valenti) is the main character; a young criminal lawyer who works in James Ryder’s (Antonello Governale) studio. He is a rather bizarre character, worn down by his profession. The stories takes place at the Court House in Toronto Canada. A particularly interesting character is the lawyer Elliott Sacks (Gianluca Iacono), who acts as a sort of champion of all human “weaknesses”, especially male ones.
